Valterra Platinum is inviting proposals for the Inclusive and Economic Empowerment Initiative for People with Disabilities (Pillar 3), focused on creating sustainable economic pathways in Mogalakwena.

 

The programme will support people with disabilities through skills development, employment pathways, and livelihood opportunities, addressing systemic barriers to economic participation and enabling greater independence, dignity, and inclusive growth.

The programme will support selected organisations through capacity building, mentoring, and funding support to improve governance, operations, and long-term sustainability, enabling better services for people with disabilities.

Applications Open: Valterra Platinum Community Bursary 2026

Valterra Platinum is inviting applications for the 2026 Community Bursary Programme, supporting talented learners and students from its host communities to access higher education.

 

The bursary is designed for young people facing socio-economic vulnerability and is administered through the Tshikululu Trust. It covers study-related costs, including tuition, accommodation, and allowances, for qualifying undergraduate students.

 

Applications are open to learners who matriculated in 2024 or 2025 and are enrolled in, or accepted into, a full-time undergraduate programme at a registered higher education institution.

Digital News Transformation Fund Opens Second Funding Window

The Digital News Transformation Fund (DNTF) has opened its second funding window, inviting eligible publishers, collectives, and ecosystem organisations to apply for support across four grant tiers: Ignite, Build, Grow, and Engage.

 

The initiative, funded by Google in partnership with the Association of Independent Publishers, supports the sustainability, innovation, and digital transformation of South Africa’s small, local, and independent news publishers.

 

 

Phase 1 opens: 16 February
Phase 1 closes: 1 March
Phase 2 closes: 5 April

Request For Proposals: Trust Administrator

Tshikululu Social Investments invites qualified and experienced organisations to apply for the role of Trust Administrator for the Solar Capital De Aar 1 Community Trust and Solar Capital De Aar 3 Community Trust.
 
The appointed organisation will oversee governance, administration, financial management, and community development support for both Trusts, ensuring that investments deliver measurable, sustainable impact for communities within a 50km radius of the Solar Capital De Aar (Pty) Ltd and the Lilitha Solar PV (Pty) Ltd projects in De Aar, including Britstown, Hanover, and Philipstown.

Community Bursary 2026: Applications Open

Applications are now open for the Valterra Platinum Community Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year, administered through the Tshikululu Trust.

 

The bursary supports eligible undergraduate students from Valterra Platinum’s Unki Operations host communities in the Shurugwi District, Zimbabwe, who face socio-economic barriers to accessing higher education. Funding covers approved study-related costs, including tuition, accommodation, and allowances.

 

Bursaries are limited and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Unki Bursary 2026: Applications Open

Valterra Platinum invites applications for the 2026 Community Bursary Programme, supporting learners and students from its host communities who face socio-economic barriers to higher education.

 

The bursary is administered through the Tshikululu Trust and supports qualifying undergraduate students with study-related costs, including tuition, accommodation, and allowances. Applicants must be from Valterra Platinum’s Unki Operations host communities in Shurugwi District, Zimbabwe, and meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the bursary advert.
