Abiel joined the Tshikululu Board in 2018, and as the former deputy director-general of mineral development, he brings a wealth of experience in mineral economics and policy. He first ventured into the field as an exploration geologist in 1979 and in the past held various roles in the mining industry, including president and CEO of Mintek. Abiel currently serves as an independent non-executive director and on two committees at the JSE-listed company Merafe Resources.
