The six pillars of a healthcare system as defined by the World Health Organisation, and South Africa’s healthcare priorities towards achieving its Millennium Development Goals, inform funding in this sector. Tshikululu’s clients share the goals of strengthening the healthcare system, supporting infrastructure development, building capacity at community level and improving access to healthcare services. Please note that De Beers supports healthcare projects primarily in communities surrounding its operations, namely in the municipalities of Siyanda, Ga-Segonyana, Taung, Frances Baard, Letsemeng, Nama Khoi, Kamiesberg and Richtersveld (Northern Cape), and Musina and Blouberg (Limpopo). |
