Education Sector

The education sector at Tshikululu uses corporate funding to support and strengthen the education system, in partnership with NGOs, universities, schools’ outreach and the Department of Basic Education.

From Foundation to Further Education phase, the quality of teaching and learning is supported through investment in teacher and scholar training and development, textbook and resource support, policy, advocacy and research, capacity-building and community development.

We understand that without adequate infrastructure, which is particularly lacking in rural areas, educating children is a challenging task.

So, we have supported a number of infrastructure projects across the country, investing in schools, museums, science centres and universities.

The education sector advises on the following areas:

• Early childhood development;
• Maths, science and language programmes;
• Bursaries; and
• Special needs schools.
