    The Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory, thanks to a $1,25m grant from the Google Cultural Institute, has launched a thoroughly searchable, fully interactive archive website that brings thousands of Nelson Mandela’s diaries, letters, books, interviews, video clips and much more, including reminisces from friends, colleagues and family members, to the global public.

    Donors are sometimes reluctant to provide funding for operational costs – salaries, administration, marketing, long-term strategic planning and so on – the ‘unsexy stuff’.

    Tshikululu’s Adam Boros and Hangwi Manavhela believe that this approach adversely affects the ability of NGOs to make a meaningful impact in communities.
