Developing entrepreneurs on “Challenging Change”

If we take it as agreed that South Africa needs more entrepreneurs taking charge of their economic independence and creating jobs for others in their enterprises, then perhaps the question remaining is: how? How do we identify that spark of business acumen, how do we encourage it and how do we entrench it into the South African psyche?
Our first guest for the year, Vincent Joyner, the founder and CEO of the Zazida Institute of Entrepreneurship, tries to answer these questions.

DoH requests proposals for funding

The National Department of Health is inviting NGOs with national represention to apply for funding to strengthen service delivery in four priority areas – improving life expectancy, combating HIV and AIDS, reducing the burden of disease from TB and strengthening of the health system’s effectiveness.
It is important to note that interested NGOs are required to attend a compulsory briefing session at 10h00 on 20 January 2012 at the National Department of Health, Civitas Building, Impilo 1 Boardroom, Andries Street (opposite the State Library) in Pretoria. Attendance of this meeting is limited to one representative per NGO.
All proposals must reach the National Department of Health by 12h00 on 3 February 2012.
The request for funding document which includes contact numbers for further information, a business plan template and the relevant appplication form can be accessed on the Department of Health website.
