Anglo American voted corporate with greatest development impact
Once again, Anglo American has been voted the corporate entity with the greatest development impact in terms of its CSI efforts in South Africa, a significant landmark of which Tshikululu Social Invesments is immensely proud.
In terms of the study, Trialogue asked corporate and NPO respondents to name the three corporates that have CSI programmes with the greatest development impact. “While perception isn’t the same as real impact,” says the report, “the results nonetheless show which companies are successfully communicating their programmes and achieving reputational benefits.”
In 2014, both corporates and NPOs agreed that the initiaves of Anglo American, whose funds are managed by Tshikululu, were having the greatest impact.
Several other Tshikululu clients were ranked in the top 10, including the FirstRand Group and FNB on both the corporate and NPO rankings, and Discovery and First for Women on the NPO rankings.
Says Deepa Patel, Client Relationship Manager at Tshikululu, “Anglo American’s reputation as a corporate entity whose CSI efforts are making meaningful, tangible differences is testament to a strategy that has been carefully constructed and proactively managed. We are thrilled at their success, and at the success of our other clients, the FirstRand Group, FNB, Discovery and First for Women.”
